February Project
In the name of love
About
The Need
- Over the last four decades, incarceration rates have increased by 700%
- Female incarceration rates are growing by 150% compared to men
- There are now more prisons and jails than colleges and universities
- Approximately 7 in 10 incarcerated women have minor children
The Project
Women are the fastest growing segment of the incarcerated population increasing at nearly double the rate of men since 1985, nearly 30% of the world’s incarcerated women are in the US. In the Name of Love’s prison ministry shares the gospel of freedom with incarcerated women in the United States through prison outreach, a Bible and Bible resources, and hygiene packs for their essential needs.
How To Help
Pray
Pray for Bianca Olthoff and her team as they enter the prisons with the message of spiritual freedom to women behind bars. Pray for favor with the prisons, jails, and juvenile detention centers that In the Name of Love visits through their outreach efforts. Pray for the team as they mentor high-risk youth and provide resources for the next generation before life-altering mistakes are made.
